Riding Lessons
We strongly encourage you to book one or more "stable management" lessons prior to booking a riding lesson. This un-mounted sessions will teach you to catch, groom, and tack up your horse before your lesson. We do offer an Introductory Package, which includes one stable management lesson and one 30-minute private lesson. Provided they have signed a waiver and are wearing a helmet, parents are also welcome to join in on the stable management lesson, and then help their child before each lesson if required.
Once you are able to get your horse ready prior to your lesson time, you will be able to spend the entire lesson time actually riding the horse. We often have "helpers" around the barn that can assist if you run into problems, but if you don't have the horse ready before your lesson start time then the instructor will help you -- which will cut into your riding time.
Once you know what you are doing, please arrive at least 15 minutes early to pick your horse's stall, groom, and tack up. To maximize your riding time, have your horse waiting at the gate for the start of your lesson.

20 min Little Riders Private Riding Lesson From CAD$59 per visit with 8 Lesson Tickets: 20min Little Riders pass
Designed for kids ages 3 and up, these short lessons are perfect for shorter attention spans. As these are for younger riders who may not be able to tack up on their own, the instructor will get the horse ready for you before your lesson, and you will still get the full 20-minutes on the horse.
30 min Private Riding Lesson From CAD$78 per visit with 8 Lesson Tickets: 30min Private Lessons pass
Generally for those 6 and up, or for more advanced younger kids, we expect you to be able to get the horse ready before your lesson, and put it away by yourself after the lesson (parents may assist provided they wear a helmet and have signed a waiver).

Stable Management (Grooming & Tacking Up) Private Lesson 30 min
A whole lesson dedicated to learning how to properly groom and tack up / untack your horse. Recommended for beginners, for parents who wish to help their children tack up before the lesson, or for those wanting to improve their stable management skills or become helpers.
